The majestic Hawkesury River Railway Bridge carries the northern line across these murky waters. The empty pillars to the right carried the original railway bridge which first opened for use in 1889. There are many incredible old photographs of the structure which was a major feat of engineering at the time. The style of this shot is an homage to the photographers who documented the construction of the original bridge and the new replacement bridge in the 1940’s.
