Take me there

North Narra Pool-3

Empty, tranquil and almost cool looking, the image I shot here is not the usual sight you would expect find at this locale on an average weekend morning.

A visit to the saltwater rock-pool offers an iconic slice of North Narrabeen life. Whether dawn, dusk or anytime in-between, fortunate locals can be seen swimming, surfing or sometimes just strolling with the family pooch. Either way they enjoy the wild beauty of the Turrimetta headland and the surrounding stretches of red sand that comprise one of the most wonderful back-yard’s that any Sydney sider can lay claim to. Just across the mouth of the lagoon where Narrabeen lake drains into the see, lies one of Sydney’s prime surf spots. Comprising of a world class point break and sand covered rock shelf known as “The Alley” this northern-most section of Narrabeen Beach is one of the county’s select National Surfing Reserves.
